The Modern Witch's Guide to Sexually Transmitted Diseases was proving a little too wishy-washy for Blair's taste. Putting it back on the shelf, she instantly realised why. The book was published by Witch's Weekly. Blair scoffed and angrily composed a monologue about how women's magazines dumb down their speech to appeal to women and therefore reinforcing the idea that women are still less intelligent than men. Morons, Blair thought, her eyes combing the shelf once more. She finally came to the conclusion that she must have been assigned the STD, syphilis. Interesting disease enough, Blair mused. She'd read a book once which alleged that Lenin died of it. Blair found it worthy of a giggle and the thought of it then made her smirk.
One would think that as a Keeper for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, Blair would be at least more aware of her surroundings than most people. Wrong. Blair had the tendency to be a little obsessive with things in her current mindset. If it was Quidditch, it was only Quidditch. If it was school work, it was only that. Now, she had her eyes set on finding a suitable source for her assignment, and Blair wasn't aware of Amaury until he spoke.
His accent made her immediately bristle in indignation but it lessened somewhat when she saw that it was not, in fact, Bastien, but someone else entirely. He was a Slytherin though, and he sounded French - that was enough to raise Blair's suspicions. "No, I'm fine," she said rather formally, pulling a random book from the shelf as if to tell him that it was his cue to walk off. Looking at the title of the book she just picked up, Blair recoiled a little and placed the tome hastily back to the shelf. An Illustrated Guide to the Male Anatomy wasn't exactly what she had in mind.
