If only Sirius knew that that wasn't the case. Remus stopped no more than a few feet away, rubbing his eyes with a heavy sigh. Had he done the right thing, pulling away? Was there something he was missing? He turned, looking back at where Sirius stood, now surrounded by a knot of young witches. That answered his questions easliy. There was nothing he was missing, no err in his choice. Sirius was caught up in girls like any normal boy, like their other mates and Remus was the oddball, as usual.
He swallowed at the uncomfortable knot in his throat, looking back at the boy he felt so strongly for, a hint of regret in his gaze. There was no one in the world he'd rather be with than Sirius, he just didn't know how to tell him so or if he even should.
He looked on, unable to move away but unable to go back.
