Notes: Hi there!
I've de-lurked in this community some time ago and now I'm in need for your help.
Okay, I have a question concerning the Major's eyes. I’m sure I'll be going pretty much against the whole fandom/community but:
Where was it said that the Major’s eyes are green? Aoike-sensei gave us certainty as to the Eberbach’s hair colour but I “failed” to see the description of the eyes. To me they look grey (that’s from the Plus Ultra art-book). As a proof:

Let me digress a bit; isn’t it funny that Dorian’s eyes are such a vibrant blue and visible on every picture, while the Major’s are usually hidden behind the glasses?
Before I start my ramblings, let me explain one term to make my point clear:
Brunet 1. a person having brown or black hair and often a relatively dark complexion --spelled brunet when used of a boy or man and usually brunette when used of a girl or woman (Merriam-Webster dictionary OnLine).
2. adj.</span>
a) Of a dark complexion or colouring.
b) Having dark brown or black hair or eyes.
n. A person with dark brown hair. (the Free Dictionary
So, the word “brunet” does not define the colour of one’s eyes
Now, let me examine the phenomenon of the Major</span>’s eyes and hair:
Story | Official translation (page) | Fan translation (page)
In’sallah | „Emeralds go well with raven hair” (67) | „Emeralds look very nice on a brunet …” (60)
Veni, Vidi, Vici. | „Your hair has the luster of a raven’s wet wings” (12) „The black hair is the same.” (36) | „Jet black hair … the color of wet crow’s feathers …” (7) „He’s got the same dark hair.” (31)
Alaskan Front Part 2 | „Oh, yeah. The guy with the long hair.” (40) | „Oh, yeah, ‘ya talking ‘bout that guy with overgrown hair, right?” (109)
Glass Target Part 1 | „Too many people have long hair like the Major. It’s because they’re slobs! Really? The Major gets his cut once every three months. It’s just an excuse for a nap.” (170) | „There are so many men with hair like the Major’s. He’s let it get so long. He only goes to the barber every three months. And then just for the nap.” (115)
Seven Days in September Part 1 | no mention (16) „Senor, have you seen a foreigner with black hair?” (170) „Did he have black hair?” (173) | „Oh, a handsome man with black hair.” (no page given) „Sir! Did you see a foreigner with dark hair along the way?” (no page given) „Isn’t that a dark-haired man with a straw hat …” (no page given)
The Laughing Cardinals Part 1 | „Is there a suspicious looking one with black hair?” (178) | „Is there a suspicious guy with dark hair among them?” (no page given)
The Laughing Cardinals Part 2 | „I’m looking for a suspicious, black-haired man.” (48) | „I’m looking for a suspicious, black-haired man.” (no page given)
From Laurence with Love Part1 | „A tall, sturdy guy with longish black hair.” (no page given)
Seduction on a Rhine | „A tall, strong man with a penetrating gaze.” (no page given)
Emperor’s Waltz | „What did you talk about to that man with black hair?” „What did you say to the man with black hair?” (no page given) |
I’d appreciate ANY and EVERY hint.
Thank you!
Let me finish my ramblings with an eye-candy (no, the colour of the eyes is not visible, but it’s one of the most beautiful pictures in the art book):
