Everett watched the exchange, and felt a strange sort of amusement that his mother was every bit as affected as he was if he was caught off guard or if Emil wasn't in complete control - though it also proved that he had gotten more used to it in the fact he was sat here now drinking a glass of wine and feeling quite normal.
"That clock is... quite something." he replied, knowing that that said everything it needed to say. "Though I'm rather confused as to why it had to be in the shop." he added. "And as Emil says, we'd have the children anyway, and we knew the timescale in which that must be done."
"They will be invited, but we cannot force them to do anything." he replied, knowing that Pansy's usual methods wouldn't be taken well here. "At the end of it, we rather knew there would be parties on both sides of this union who wouldn't be entirely happy with the situation. It is what it is. We've chosen to be together." he replied, and it really did come down to that and besides that, it was very much done now.
"I will forget Horatio. It's going to be my wedding present to myself. And I'll instruct my staff not to bother either. As for Fen, I wasn't going to do anything fussy - I noticed how... large she was when she swung in to try and pester an invite to this lunch during the week. Let's hope she isn't expanding at any more pace than she already is." He said. His response had basically been not to mention it at all.
He gave Emil a small smile and a nod. "I thought you would. And you know I am interested in the planning of my own wedding. I'm hardly Fenella." he said, rolling his eyes.
