I winced a bit at that line, too, but a racist character doesn't necessarily make a racist writer. Is it possible that we're SUPPOSED to dislike Norah here? Until she came in, there was a second there when it looked like Peter and Michelle were actually going to have a mature conversation and possibily even start a relationship based on something other than sitcom cliches. That would, of course, contradict the last couple of issues, where she was made to look like the harpy from hell, but that could have been misdirection, making her look as bad as possible, so that when she showed her good side, it would look that much better.
Granted, I'm probably being overly optimistic and they just thought it was a good line for a catfight, but just going by what's presented here (since I know nothing about Norah and MJ is no more the real MJ than Peter is the real Peter) I'd root for Michelle out of the three women.
Plus, I like the "and now the TV star. Fantastic" line. Not enough to make me want to buy this or any Spider-Man book that doesn't have Marvel Adventures in the title, though.
