Yeah... I have to say, I kinda prefer the sarcastic show-off vigilante who kills.. rather than what Tony Daniels wrote.
It's interesting, a friend said to me, Jason represents the frustration fans feel re: the Joker immunity problem and Batman not killing the Joker for good. And it seems like more and more he's starting to embody a whole other kind of frustration. This whole Rape the Dog trope that's going on here: Really -- how much crap has the kid gone through?
And now this "secret" that he may have been potentially sexually abused or something equally horrific? And yet, it seems like DC doesn't want us to feel any pity for him, but only hate and detest.
