Late for Martial Arts Week: Shang-Chi vs. Midnight Sun
I'm late for Martial Arts Week. Here's a battle between Shang-Chi, the Master of Kung-Fu, and M'nai, the Midnight Sun. One will live. One will die and then get his body stolen and revived by Kree scientists to fight the Silver Surfer some years later.
From SPECIAL MARVEL EDITION (1971) #16. The next issue, the series was renamed "MASTER OF KUNG-FU." Due to Marvel's rights over the name "Fu Manchu" lapsing, the series will probably never be printed in ESSENTIAL editions. Shame, that.
Shang-Chi was wanted for murder for some reason.
New York is the city that never sleeps, but they must be in a drowsy section.
Pipes! No, not those kinds of pipes, even though there is a lot of crack on this board.
Okay, Shang-Chi has accepted there was going to be a fight between him and M'Nai. He's accepted the fight itself. What is there left to accept?
Shang-Chi has this whole "Killing is wrong" thing.
"I hate you! I hate you! IhateyouIhateyouIhate... whoops!"
And so Midnight Sun dies... thought he is used in a "Legion of the Unliving" against the Avengers *and* rebuilt by the Kree to fight the Silver Surfer some time later. Marvel: Crack-a-licious!
