I think we call it "old-school draughtmanship, that kids today don't know nutthin about, with their goddam Photoshop and long hair and rap music. Bah." But seriously, folks... I feel really lucky to have grown up when Giordano, Joe Sinnott, Tom Palmer, Terry Austin, Klaus Janson, Joe Rubinstein etc where in their prime. There aren't the same number of "star" inkers now, are there? Which is sorta good - it means more pencillers are getting the time to finish their own work, but I miss the nice collision of styles. Byrne's page never looked better than with Terry Austin's inks.
