"Master bedroom" = bedroom for the master, as opposed to the servants (or - going back further in time - slaves, which I guess is the source of the discomfort). In general, referring to the head of the household as "master" is a bit creepy.
Incidentally, I was just watching an old episode of Buffy, and came across this bit about how to get rid of a ghost that's haunting Sunnydale High:
Willow: "The only solution is the final solution." Xander: "Nuke the school? I like that." Willow: "Not quite. Exorcism."
There does seem to be some sort of weird Holocaust reference going on here (Xander fails Second World War history, but that's completely in character for him). An odd analogy for Willow, who is Jewish, to use.
