The chair!angst had a lot to do with her telling Jason Bard to please go the hell away now too.
True. And they never really tells us how/when Jason and Babs broke up, and we find out that somehow Jason didn't know she was shot and that Babs never told him about it, which kind of adds to that.
(Obviously the rest was that Jason Bard has all the character appeal of toothpaste.)
Objection! Jason Bard has the whole cocky bastard/but actually pretty insecure and a decent guy underneath/but also a cocky bastard kind of charm going on. At least, that's how I read him.
I can't get over how artificial and silly that was.
What was hilarious to me, was that when Jim says "there's a new detective in town" or whatever, I thought for a second he was referring to Dick as Batman, and that would've been so funny and unbelievably messed up.
