I think she was a little more influential and important to DC than that...
I don't know... You may be right about page time, but I think you're discounting her importance to the Detective title. Here's just the 'Tecs she appeared in, (and many of these stories were specifically her stories--she's on the cover many times, too.):DETECTIVE COMICS # 359, 363, 369, 371, 384, 385, 388, 389,392, 393, 396, 397, 400, 401, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409, 410, 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416, 417, 418, 419, 420, 421, 422, 423, 424, 481, 482, 483, 484, 485, 486, 487, 488, 489, 490, 491, 492, 493, 494, 495, 496, 497, 498, 599, 501, 502, 503, 505, 506, 508, 509, 510, 512, 513, 514, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519, 526 and two panels in 734.
And Babs definitely had many more than six appearance elsewhere total. There's a list here: http://batgirlarchives.8m.com/app.html and I think I counted 215 Babsgirl comic appearances on the list.
