Hee hee.
A parody in Miller style and a parody in Calvin and Hobbes style of the life of Superman's daughter, as imagined by Mxy. (Four pages from Adventures of Superman 638, for those who keep track.)

Dinah would be hot if she actually had a chin, don't you think?

If Lobo braiding Wonder Woman's hair isn't the best thing you've seen all day, then I want to live your life.

Lol, I'd been meaning to post that second page for ages, if only for the hair braiding.

OMG, the hair-braiding rocks! There should be a mini-series.

Artwise, the Sin City-style strip actually reminds me more of Calvin and Hobbes' noir parodies, like it's riffing on Calvin and Hobbes riffing on Sin City. These both are delightful, though!

These stories use Mxy the best way, as a cross between Yoda (from Star Wars) and Q (from Star Trek).

You're going to nertz even harder, Mxy, when you notice the puppy's gone missing.

That Calvin and Hobbes parody is gold. Also, the design on Wonder Woman's underwear in that last panel is a vast improvement on the current design.

That's the design Wonder Woman has had for every WW issue from the last three years barring three or so guest artist issues. So either you only read (Benes) JLA or you don't buy a lot of comic, am I right?

Lobo braiding Diana's hair! Ha!

Couple variations, including a goofy pseudo-artistic messing-around-because-it's-late-and-I'm-loopy:

The Calvin and Hobbes parody is the funniest thing I've read all week. Thank you for posting it.

Wait, when did Lois and Clark have a baby? Whut?

That C&H parody is the most adorable thing I've seen since Batman and Sons.

This was during Rucka's Adventures of Superman run, where, if I remember right, Mxy uses his powers to show them what might happen if they had a child.

"Ninety days pass fast, three sets of NINETY, they go fast, too. Two-hundred and SEVENTY days, NINE months, THREE trimesters."

He's kind of channeling Lex in the Cracktionary, no?

And is it supposed to be Batman narrating the Miller parody? Can we all take a moment and revel in the fact that his favourite colour is purple?

I'd put my money on Mxy narrating.

Ah, that would make more sense, I suppose. It just seemed to have a touch of ASBAR's Batman's bitterness toward Superman.

These are fun.

"Lethal little Dinah." I think Mxy's got a crush.

I love that Lois is a working mom.

And isn't that Comet?

The C&H is almost at Batman and Sons level of awesomely cute.

Oh, I loved this issue, especially the C&H parody (probably my favourite comic strip ever). And Lobo braiding Wonder Woman's hair is quite possibly the best thing ever. Never did care for the Miller style part of the issue (maybe because I don't really care for Miller...seems likely).

I have to say, the 'Sin City' art style actually works pretty damn well with the JLA. Probably because we're dealing with a bunch of people who have very distinctive silhouettes.
And yes, the 'Calvin and Hobbes' pastiche is terrific. I miss Calvin and Hobbes...
