And that's probably true. It's very disappointing when an author you really enjoy produces sub-par work. I get that. Really. More than anyone here realises, I get that.
But the reaction is still aggravating. Sure "Cry for Justice" is awful. But he's got a tonne of awesome stuff in his portfolio, and the next thing he writes might very well be awesome as well. It's like, give the guy a break. Nobody's perfect.
I'll mock "Cry For Justice" as much as the next person. I mean for goodness' sake, there are only so many jokes about Hal Jordan's awesome penis that a person can take before you get sick of it. But it's so frustrating that people aren't willing to cut him some slack. You can't win the Nobel Prize for Literature every time you put pen to paper.
