WML is the one who introduced the idea that amazons other than Diana are non-super, so dunno why you'd have an issue contradicting him.
I'm with him on that one, though. For the Bana if for no other reason. They've been interbreeding with humans for three thousand years. Any trace of original amazon superpowered genetics would be long diluted into nothingness. The ones we see in Perez' run are peak human at max; they never show any evidence of above-normal strength, their incredibly lethal poison has a dramatically reduced effect on Cheetah and Diana, and Shim'tar needed the magic of the Girdle to even begin to stand a chance against Diana. There's no way they're superhuman or were ever meant to be, and if they were, there's no way they wouldn't have conquered the whole world long before Diana was ever even born. I mean, consider the threat posed by a single city of kryptonians - and they're mostly civilians, a designation that doesn't even exist in Bana culture.
And if the Bana are human and the Themyscirans are not, the idea of the Bana being any threat to them in the first civil war, or of their being any equality or peace between the two cultures after, becomes impossible to credit. Which means Circe would have to have supercharged them too, which is also beyond dubious. Granting them immortality, that seems in line with her personality. Making them a bunch of Dianas, not so much.
