Not to add anything more to the pot, but to still add my 2 cents.
I agree with Runaways Vol 1-3. So, so good (the Whedon run was nice too.) Y the Last Man (but it is 60 issues so long) but I'd read it before the movie comes out. Suicide Squad by Ostrander is golden Justice League International is also great quality. X-men Days of Future Past = classic
I disagree with Bone = boring Preacher cause its over the top in an unnecessary way making it, to put it nicely, only for specific tastes. (Note that I don't like anything of Garth Ennis' that I have read).
OK, I lied. Here are my own faves
Green Lantern (Marz's run, Winick's run, and Geoff Johns' recent stuff) First couple of Teen Titans arcs were good Johns' stuff too. Exiles. The whole series from Winick to Bedard was fantastic (but Claremont screwed it up around issue 90 or so). Alan Moore's Swamp Thing (issues 20 to about 60; I liked Veitch's run too - up to issue 80 something). Alan Moore is the Master. Kurt Busiek's Astro City (but this is better after you've read tons of other stuff)
