I called it! POSSIBILITY OF MULTIPLE BATGIRLS, he mentions "right away" so I have a feeling this is going to happen.
I also called Cass's reasoning for suddenly storming off. I don't care if it's somewhat off of her previous characterization, it goes with what she is NOW. People want to ignore the mini series, but, really you can't, it happened, it set something up that needs to be awknowledged. Cass was finally if not editorially mandated to be accepted into the circle, wasn't, and is seemingly ignored as Bruce goes off and does his RIP and Final Crisis disappearing shpiel. (which is a shame since her and Damian interacting would be incredibly interesting to see) For her to be sullen, and confused, is perhaps quite new for her like this, that while she was originally committed to "The Bat" the symbol, perhaps this commitment, or what she thought she was committed to, is kinda thrown in the air after Bruce "dies". Death of a parental figure, no matter how bad, there will be rippling emotional consequences. Tim's irritability and dare I say breaking point, falls in line with this. I hope they'll explain Cass is dealing with far too many emotions or "ties" she just thought she didn't have, or that she truly found out she WAS fighting for Bruce. I like canon, but I find things interpretive, things can change I think.
This writer seems fantastic imo. He recognizes the mistreatment of ALL said characters, of Stephanie, of Cassandra, and of Oracle. I think on some level he realizes he's been handled a bunch of damaged DC goods (throw Helena into that mix too, poor costumed thing). From what I've seen he GETS Stephanie quite well, isnt' afraid to interject humour (have some waffles) which a lot of comics SORELY need. We'll also be getting Cass exposition.
This is good for all the characters, and I've seen Spoilerasmanbatgirl possibly coming ever since the very peculiar line in Robin about him not wanting to see her in the Spoiler costume anymore.
