You wouldn't think it would be very easy to make a premise like that suck, would you? And yet. Though it helps that that's not precisely a logical story to tell with an amazon, them being more into the various Mediterranean and Near Eastern pantheons than, y'know, Christian mythology and silver-plated demon-slaying swords and that sort of nonsense. And that WML is a chronic failure at gender issues and amazons in general. And that it was the 90s (seriously, Benes aping Liefeld). Poor Artemis...
