I'm not at all arguing that men aren't victims of domestic abuse or that there aren't things that prevent them coming forward, being believed or from seeing justice, or that we don't see all sorts of fucked up double-standards to do with gender and violence in media. Just trying to explain why people react one way to seeing a man hit a woman, and may react differently upon seeing a woman hit a man, that's all.
