I agree with the Lee/Ditko stuff, for sure, but like I said, it's the best rendition in 20 years, not 50 or 60.
But Ult. Spider-Man? I don't know. I used to love it, don't get me wrong. But I have a big problem on the handling of the majority of the villains:
1) Green Goblin is basically The Hulk. He works better as a criminal mastermind with endless tricks and gadgets. 2) Doc Ock is now basically Magneto version 2.0. 3) Kraven is a joke. Ditto for Shocker. 4) Rhino has no personality (as opposed in Spec. Spidey, where he gets the best hilarious lines). Same for Sandman. 5) Venom is needlessly complicated, as opposed to just being an alien.
Anyway, you get my point. Unfortunately for Ult. Spider-Man, the mistreatment of these classic villains means just about all of them are uninteresting. Don't get me wrong, though, because they have a great handling of Peter and the supporting cast (up until...you know, right now, with him making out with Gwen behind MJ's back).
As for BND, I'm sorry, but once Spidey, one of the most morally grounded people, makes a deal with the devil, there are no Spider-Man comics in my mind. It's not just the devil, but a bad guy in general. How many stories have you read where a crime boss or bad guy offers for him to join them and he turned them down in heartbeat. Yet, he said yes to this thing that's known for taking souls?
Here's why Spec. Spidey is better: 1) Best handling of Green Goblin SINCE Lee/Ditko, including bringing back the mystery of who exactly is Goblin. 2) It's a mix of every Spidey medium, including the movies, Ult. Spidey (Kong; Eddie as an old time friend), the old 90s cartoon (Venom's origin), etc. 3) Ongoing story with actual care to continuity (episode following Rhino shows the Daily Bugle office still trashed, the Goblin mystery) 4) Actual Spider-Man humour, which so many people seem to fail at (even the movies). 5) Catchiest theme song since the old 60s cartoon. 6) The whole thing is headed up by Greg "creator of Gargoyles" Weisman. 7) Every villain he encounters, he doesn't just beat them with his fists. He out thinks them or uses science. That's a big thing that a LOT of writers forget.
I had other reasons that I listed over at No Scans Daily, but I can't remember them all, off the top of my head.
