I've always liked the variety in the identity porn in the Batclan. Bruce is two very different people, and while he's not quite Batman (even if he usually thinks he is), the mask is much closer to the real person than Brucie. Dick is the same guy in costume or out; he's always Dick. Cass is like Dick, but with her, she's always Batgirl. Babs used to be basically the same person in and out of mask, but for most of BoP she had a split nearly as dramatic as Bruce's; Babs, though, was the more real of the two, while Oracle was a persona she adopted. Helena has that dramatic split as well, but unlike Bruce or Babs, both her sides seem to be equally legitimate.
Tim, we've seen move along the spectrum. But I'm not actually sure he could be completely happy doing the Dick/Steph thing like he did in the beginning, where he's just all of himself always - I don't know that he'd fixate on Bruce's MO so much if he were (he's happy to not do things Bruce's way in other situations, where he's confident his own thing works). Not that the Batman split works for him either, as Fabian has been so effectively demonstrating. I think probably the Helena balance would work best for him, TBH. Sober, thoughtful and analytical is the real him, but right now he's letting it suppress all his other characteristics, and if he let those out in his civilian life and acknowledged them as the real him as well, he'd prolly be a lot happier.
