I always found that such an ironic comment from someone who wore the figure hugging New Mutants costume as a matter of course. :)

And it's not just slash though, Doug broadcasts "Hug me, I'm cute" somewhere in the megawatt range to both sexes...

And look at his success rate with the ladies! Kitty, Betsy, Cyndi (a "special" case there) and Rahne. Tarot, possibly Roulette (Not much evidence there but she did pick Doug to party with...
