Look, I'm not saying OMD was a great idea. I was annoyed as well, simply because it was a wussy way out. If Quesada wanted an unmarried Peter he should have done something more. The deal with the devil was idiotic and insulting.
But I stuck with it.
I love SpiderMan, as a kid I loved the cartoon, I read some of the comics but mostly foudn stuff second hand. Perhaps it's just nostalgia but I can't drop the book.
My main issue is that it seems like lots of people here are attacking the comic for the problems caused by Quesada. Editorially driven stuff sucks, look at Countdown. I just don't find it fair that writers are blamed for it now.
I'm not simply saying this out of nostalgia understand, the past few arcs have been really fun, aside from that strange FF crossover thing. American Son one of my favorite comic moments ever in it.
Yeah I was nasty here, and I apologize for it, but I guess it annoys me that I can't find any kin here that likes Spiderman anymore.
