There are still silly gaps like this (maybe not as blatant, but still) because how do you make the star of the book shine if you constantly have stars of other books come and bail them out.
I'm perfectly happy to not have Bruce bail her out - it's not like she's ever going to bail Bruce out, so it makes me twitch every time he plays an essential role in one of her stories - but Diana with money problems is patently ridiculous even in a completely solitary there-is-no-DCU context. She's absurdly overqualified for a thousand incredibly high-paying jobs, and that's before we even scratch the surface of promotional work (which at first seems like something she wouldn't touch with a thirty-foot pole, but I think there are ways and causes that you could get her to take money to shill if you were Etta and Julia and you were clever about it). And who wouldn't want to hire Wonder Woman? This was, after all, before the whole "heroes cause bad guys and having a hero in your life is a guaranteed death sentence" thing really took hold, back when having a cape around was a positive thing that made you *safer.* She doesn't need her friends for this.
