Tesla Strong and Val Var Garm: An Interspecies Romance
Tracing Tesla Strong and Val Var Garm's relationship over the course of the
Tom Strong
series...
Tesla first meets Val Var Garm and his race when she's investigating a volcano that's inexplicably gone active.
They don't meet again until seven issues later, when Val kidnaps Tesla.
Tesla's folks have come to rescue her.
Tom gets into a big, prolonged fight with Val Var Garm.
So Val goes to live in the Stronghold with them. Tom and Solomon give him a room three floors removed from Tesla's.
Tom doesn't take well to Val living in his home, as becomes abundantly clear when the police call him in about a situation.
Later, when the Strongs are preparing to face an alien invasion, Tesla asks Val if he can get his people to help out.
After Val helps them destroy the aliens, Tom and Val start to get along
