Golden Age Wonder Woman
These are from Sensation Comics #2, 1942.

I'm sure plenty would agree with you there, Diana.

I thought Etta Candy fans would like to see her very first appearance. This panel, among others, gives the lie to Wertham's contention that the Holliday Girls were dykes; they were, as some writer put it, "enthusiastic heterosexuals". I'm just waiting to meet dykes who look like this.

How spanking helped the war effort. I definitely think we should spank spies. At least, the ones who look like this.

oh golden age wonderwoman . . .
I cannot even imagine how dreary my life must have been before reading you and your insanity

I remember seeing that last panel a long time ago before I had ever read any old wonderwoman comics, and my mind just about exploded from the crack

That last line of Etta's is amazing. There's gotta be a blues song in there somewhere. Love it.

I agree - it is infinitely quotable. I've read it about a dozen times by now (I've read the story before), and it never fails to amaze me. Etta, you are so good at pimp-talk!
