Planet Hulk DTV
SDCC included the release of the trailer for Marvel's upcoming DTV based on Greg Pak's Planet Hulk story.

The trailer can be found here on Entertainment Weekly's website.

I'll be interested to see how they choose to end this, given that ending the story like this:

...would be bother a bit of a downer and a dangling story, since there's no sequel as yet announced.

I wouldn't be surprised if the film stops with Hulk happily ruling his new kingdom, leaving the rest for a potential World War Hulk DVD.

Looks okay, but man, Hulk's voice...

that's... that's not Hulk, man.

This is one of the intelligent Hulks, so the monosyllabic "grawww!" voice isn't what he's going to sound like. It seems to be Clancy Brown doing the voice, which is a good choice, I think; he can do the deep and intimidating thing.

I think even an intelligent Hulk voice's should have a trace of the graww. This just sounds like "some dude".

I really enjoyed the last two Hulk animated films. I think Marvel may have truly stepped out of crapwille when it comes to production. It looks better than that Sparticus trailer I saw yesterday.

Odd that. PH borrows one or two weensy little plot strands from Spartacus...

Marvel's animated stuff does seem to be getting better and better, with maybe New Avengers finally being "watchable", and Hulk vs. Wolverine being "enjoyable." I'm looking forward to this a bunch.

Understandable that Black Bolt is too obscure to add, but...Wolverine? Seriously? I mean, even if he does lead the X-Men, he'll basically take the same stance as Namor and thus the vote will be 2:2.

Where do you see Wolverine there? It's Mr. Fantastic, either Black Bolt (with no visible tuning-fork thingy) or a standing Professor X, Iron Man, and Dr. Strange, just like in the comics.

Aha! I mistook Strange's cowl for Wolvie's headprongs, and added that to my vague knowledge of a rcent "Wolverine & X-Men" series...

From what I've read of it, Planet Hulk is probably one of the best Hulk stories recently done, so I'll definately check this out--even if Lion's Gate gives me the willies with their last crappy efforts (coughultimateavengerscough).
