Which is my point. I've read up to the part in the series where some robot girl (who used to be human, iirc) wants Agatha's voice to gain control of some creatures in their world. It's a combination of the wallflower origins with my own impatience that makes me kind of ho-hum about Agatha; I've never seen her be as cool as (say) Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV or Samantha Carter, and I have no real incentive to wade through the comics for the scenes where she's being a bad ass engineer.
...so sitting down and shutting up like a good girl really isn't an option for her anymore.
Please don't misunderstand, I don't want her to "[sit] down and [shut] up like a good girl," I just wish her origins had started her out as an engineering bad ass, instead of making it her character growth arc.
