Her own sister was mentally and physically tortured, fed the body parts of her husband. Selina helped to kill the torturer. Her baby was threatened, multiple times, and she gave the child away to prevent it happening again.
...And then a known rapist and sexual killer - one so prevalent that, in a story written by Dini, her sexual victims came back as a giant tree that wanted to rape her - abuses her to get trivial information, threatens and nearly carries out physical abuse...and offers to provide bananas and never do it again, so it's okay for them to be conveniently sharing an apartment together.
Bullshit. This entire series is made of flimsy plot threads utilised into getting the characters into sexual positions, the very stuff that books like "Empowered" satirise. It's a joke, and a very poor one, and it wore thin before the first issue ended.
