According to an article on the Nemedian Chronicles, in the platinum issue of Wizard magazine #207, Dynamite Entertainment's Editor-in-Chief Joe Rybandt stated that there was a Sonja/Thor miniseries in the works. "It's not a crossover, but a miniseries that we'll be running some time in 2009 as well."

Intriguingly, I seem to have come across the same 3-page scene done by a different artist:

And then the 1st two pages of the sequence by someone else:

Followed by 4 more from yet someone else:

Thor looks so amused on that third page, like that knife is really going to hurt him.

I like that Sonja was able to free herself. The trick to these crossovers (especially when there's such a mismatch in terms of physical power) is making sure that neither partner ends up looking like a schmuck.

That's quite a face Sonja's got in the last panel. "Conan, but a girl" is supposed to just be a comparison, guys, not a bone structure.

Also, Thor is in more dire need of chinderware than usual.

This reminds me of the Conan and Thor What If...? issue. A lot of the Conan WI?s where he interacts with the Marvel regulars were pretty good, save the Conan and Wolverine one.

Let's hope that this miniseries makes a point of recognizing that Thor's actually pretty far and away from this age's gods, who are all something like 10x the arrogant assholes that his pantheon's gods are.

... I've been an anime fan too long. I had a sudden searing image of Edogawa Conan and Wolverine teaming up.

... Now I kind of want to SEE that...

That kinda looks like Lemmy's head in the very first panel.

The last artist is yummy, even if he is rather shamelessly ripping off the Lord of the Rings movies.
