Longer answer: If the Batclan could just use a magic foam for this sort of thing, most of them (ie. BRUCE!) would learn to disregard their physical condition even more than they already do. They are confronted with a second opinion of their physical health every time Alfred gives them the post-mission once-over, and he knows how to make sure that they at least think about it. The foam would take away from that, and it could conceivably cover up the symptoms of greater damage. Therefore, Alfred decided that it would be best if the foam stayed with a fully qualified, highly gifted physician and out of the hands of an exceedingly stubborn individual who knows better than to excessively jeopardize his health but does so anyway.
