I'm not wild about Vic's orange gloves, but otherwise, this is pretty damn good stuff. Vic is still Vic - he's got an arrogant, self-righteous side to him - but he's much more believable as a hero. The Ditko Vic always seemed like someone who was thiiiiiiis close to going 'the hell with it - SCUM MUST DIE!' and turning out-and-out psycho - hence the accuracy of Moore basing Rorschach on him. This guy seems like someone who genuinely cares about people - and moreover, is much more human in terms of his weaknesses - sufficient manpower can take him down easily, and he almost gets killed making a dramatic exit. "Did I just really SURVIVE that? Lord, the things one does to preserve one's image!" Don't think we don't appreciate 'em, Vic. Also, the Question/Beetle banter just... works. It clicks somehow. I think that the current versions of the characters should do a teamup.
