Superman vs. the Teen Titans, and a Wonder Woman question
Vic is wandering through town one day, when suddenly he notices Superman is acting oddly.
Superman then tears off one of Vic's legs and throws him off a building.
Badly injured, Cyborg calls on his fellow Titans for help. Can they stop Superman? :O
Somehow offpanel Superman gets Donna in a throatgrabbing hold,
Then pre-eyegouging Jericho saves the day.
The End! ...sort of.
I do like Superman's oddly Doctor Doom-ish dialogue there. 'Cept the "scorned by all the beautiful women in the world" comment, Doom just wins them over with his... er... personallity I guess.
Anyway, the question, possibly for Bluefall or one of the other Wonder Scholars out there. :)
In some trades I read, they explained Wonder Woman being on the 40's JSA team by saying she got there by time-travel or something. She even had a relationship with Ted Grant in some stories, and they have joked about how she ended up in the "secretary" position on the team etc.
Presumably people knew that a Wonder Woman was out and about during the War, but if that's the case, how come people didn't say "Hey, it's Wonder Woman, that superheroine from the 1940s!" or something similar when Diana appeared on the scene in the 80's or whenever Diana appeared in the modern canon?
I mean, someone must have recognised the costume, at least, surely?
