This was the most satisfying one, definitely. Big fat comic with every damn artist they had contributing--I'm sad to say I went through the list and ID'd each one as a kid. See if you can pick out John Byrne's panel here--and remember, this was when he was fun. The last page is, of fucking course, Jim Starlin.
And I didn't even care once I later read the real story. I liked this one the best. It's the ultimate (small-u) cosmic Marvel story. And such brutally compressed storytelling! Nowadays, this would be a company-wide crossover lasting a year. Marvel was in some ways more charming then.
One question thsi begs: if Uatu can look at these other timelines, and there are other parallel Uatus like this one, then can't they watch the other ones too and...ouch, head hurting.
Favorite panel: Infinity being taken out. All of the cosmos poof. Top THAT.
