Hasn't that kind of always been Robinson's job? From back in the day when if you couldn't get Moore you got Gaiman, if you couldn't get Gaiman you got Morrison, and if then Milligan was busy you got Robinson.
Much as I like THE GOLDEN AGE, it's also an example of the zenith of exactly the era that type of GRIMDARK thing. It's like the point where it snaps, and reconstruction begins with ASTRO CITY.
