colonel_green suggested I post this, and when the man's right, he's right. The affairs of Zeus and Herc were the main storyline this month, but Pak and Van Lente have also split Cho off for a potentially nifty little B-plot, so a few pages on that here.

I only sometimes like Cho. This is one of those times. I think Trey helps a lot - I never knew the guy before but just from his place in this arc I already adore him.

	Yeah. It was kind of neat to see Pete interacting with a Ben that popped in from an alternate earth for a couple books or so, but 616-Ben really needs to stay dead. It's better this way. (Reply to this) (Parent)

I added "And tell my nephew that if he wants to get here he should stop being a dumbass" to Uncle Ben's comments; when then led to me speculating on what would have happened if Kurtwood Smith had been cast as Uncle Ben...

Really, though, it's a lovely little continuity touchstone; Uncle Ben has a sort of mythic quality to him. You could easily imagine the now-deceased Jonathan Kent in a similar scene over at DC.

	If Spider-Man ever got to talk to Ben's spirit (like Batman got to talk to the Waynes in "Death and the Maidens"), Ben would probably say something like how saving lives is good but that Peter didn't have to be unhappy all the time. 	In Spider-Man's House of M tie-in, Waid wrote a scene along those lines. From memory it was something like. "'With great power comes great responsibility.' 	Snice Uncle Ben is in this afterlife, I wonder if he knows about Peter's deal with Mephisto and what happened with his marriage and is disappointed in him for making a deal with such a being especially knowing from the afterlife that May was ready to join him. (Reply to this)
