It's a reference to the vision of Wonder Woman that Geoff Johns espouses. Diana raging against the heavens, leaving her people (who act like dogmatic, unthinking acolytes), etc. to embrace America instead. Exactly the sort of stuff we got in Infinite Crisis and the reboot by Heinberg.
Now, that's not to say that's your story (far from it); but taken on their own, this is the sort of stuff he'd write, and there's tremendous antipathy for his work with the character here.
