Super Friends? More like Super DICKS!

Essentially, Mr. Freeze is working with all these other ice-related supervillains, and they've frozen the city.

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

Okay, so Freeze shouldn't really have frozen an entire city just for his own convenience, but still... what a bunch of unempathetic assholes.

In their defense, Doop cut the page immediately after in which they explain "dude you're an imbecile, if you'd just come to us we'd have tried to help you but no you had to be a dick and freeze the city."

Wait. I could be wrong, but most glass used in industrial buildings is strong enough to withstand a pile-up of snow, but not the sudden force of a tidal wave. So wouldn't the wave have caused a shitton more damage than the snowbanks, and therefore make the Superfriends even bigger assholes in this situation?

...Or should I just not risk the headache and quit trying to apply any sort of science to this?

On occasion, whenever DC heroes are someplace really cold like Alaska or Antarctica or wherever, they really ought to bump into Mr. Freeze wearing his bermuda shorts and sandals.

Bonus points if he's holding a tropical drink with a little umbrella in it.

He pretty much does exactly that at the start of "Sub-Zero", going swimming with polar bears in the Arctic waters in his trunks.

That was awesome.

"Live out one of your life long dreams will you! We don't think so!"

I thought it was going to end with Superman letting Freeze hang out in the Fortress of Solitude or something equally adorable.

But nope, it ends with a depressed Mr. Freeze and the JLAsshole standing smugly outside, smugly grinning like they're watching a zoo exhibit.

Not too defend the dickishness, but letting Freeze in the fortress of solitude would be pretty stupid. Freeze would find a way to steal one of the weapons in there, easy.

Freeze, you imbecile. I mean, yes, it's very touching that you just want to walk around like a normal person, but there is no reason to freeze a whole city to do it. Three words, Freeze - Move. To. Antarctica. It's below zero there pretty much all year round, except for the height of summer, and even then, you get snowstorms that bring the temperature down. Furthermore, you're a scientist, and the only people who live in Antarctica are scientists and maintenance people. If you're THAT anxious to lead a more-or-less normal existence, just serve your time nice and quietly, be a model prisoner, and then, when your term is up, suggest to the parole board that, since there really is no way for you to live a normal life in the rest of the world, you should be transferred to Antarctica to help do research in conditions no other human could survive. I can practically guarantee that they'd leap at the chance to get you out of their hair, and you'd cost them practically nothing - you wouldn't even ring up a heating bill. Whaddaya say?
...I know, I know, this is a kid's comic. But still, it's so incredibly simple.

Oh we are the Buddy Bears, we always get along.
If you ever disagree, that means you are wrong,
Oh, we are the Super Firends, we always get along

At least in this they didn't resort to their old fashion method of dicussing morals, pummeling each other into buildings with cheap speeches while the villain's plan is going on right besides them.
