The whole point of wearing a costume is that your true identity is concealed, and therefore you CAN'T become a target unless you're wearing the costume - and that's part of the job. Anyway, I understand that he's bitter, but wearing a costume previously worn by a psychotic anti-hero 'just because it's there' seems a bit counterproductive. I mean, yes, he got third-degree burns back while fighting the General, but, as we have since seen, those have healed; he doesn't NEED a cowl anymore - why not simply come up with an identity of his own?
