Finally ! a Full Kamandi Episode of Batman the Brave and the Bold !!!
The best part being that all the Animals were literally taken right from the Book as Kirby drew them.

The only thing that could have made it better was if Flower or her sister were in it. :)

This is a junteanah post.

Another great episode and, including the teaser, a veritable Kirby love fest! I loved Bats and Mr Miracles casual warnings to each other "Darts"... "Blades"... "Hammers"

I can't wait for a dvd release with a writers round table and lots of behind the scenes extras.

I just hope a full Miracle/Barda ep will give Barda a chance to come off as less bitchy. (I also wasn't overly keen on Oberon's voice.)

Given that her one line was intended to indicate an agenda completely at odds with the obvious, I'll give them that one, but yes, if she gets a full episode (which one would hope would be the case) I hope she'll be a more rounded character.

True; just something about the delivery seemed really grumpy. (I looked up the voice actress, Diane Delano, and she seems to have a line in playing rather large and brawny women.)

Yeah, I really didn't care for it either. After Dick Miller, who I thought did a great job with Oberon on Justice League Unlimited, they gave him a rather generic Munchkin type voice for B&B

I don't get how Barda could be considered "bitchy", her one line was hilarious, which is what the show is. I for one loved the teaser, Barda's voice was a lot better than her JLU one, which was just way too high and stereotypically girly for the character, atleast I felt that way. Oberon's voice wasn't that great, though I can live with it. And Mr Miracle was actually enjoyable here, I couldn't stand his JLU counterpart.

The main thing was awesome, I'm so glad we finlaly got an appearance by Professor Carter Nichols, the Silver Age character responsible for many Batman's time travel adventures. I don't know a whole lot about Kamandi, but from the information I looked up, this was pretty darn faithful. I loved the references to Planet of the Apes and King Kong too, as well as the Manbat.'

I've really started to enjoy this shows version of Grodd too. While the JLU version was more calculated, this version is far more power hungry, bestial and cruel.

Best line of the episodes though? "My obsession is with justice Grodd, come and get some!"

The best thing about this show's Mister Miracle vis a vis the JLU version is that here, they actually show him escaping from the deathtrap. In the JLU episode he appeared in, they just cut away to another scene and cut back with Scott Free, well, scot free.

Yeah, that's one thing I never liked about JLU, Batman's detective side was just shown him knowing everything without explanation, Miracle just disappeared from his traps etc.

And I only JUST got that pun! How could I have never see that?

Kirby was rather given to obvious puns/double meanings in names (Darkseid, DeSaad etc), Scott Free was one of the more blatant

The video needs to go behind the cut.

This episode was awesome. The only thing that disappointing to me was that they didn't had Ben Boxer or Pyra, but then again a mutant with a fission heart and and alien of pure fire energy could have taken too much screen time to explain.

I am given to the the idea there will be more from Kamandi. Look at how many eps they got out of Red Tornado. Next time Kamandi come back in time.

Was Kirby the first person at DC to manage to sneak a topless girl (however covered) repeatedly into his comics? I think he was. Jack rules.

The episode was indeed awesome. Seeing the old Batcave was fun.

All we need to make it more Kamandi ish is a mention of the Mighty One or have Pyra show up.

The Professor Nichols cameo was pretty cool. Only knew about him thanks to this place XD

I still have no clue why the Kamandi future still exists if Batman went back in time with the serum, but whatever, that was awesome.

I liked that Batman signed the kids' autographs, it seems like the usual dark-n-edgy Batman would have just, well, Batmanned away while Scott Free's back was turned instead of sticking around. Or agreeing to escape from a deathtrap for charity at all, really.

Were the bat-creatures from the comics too? They were my favorite ones (although the sheer goofiness of the snakes was great too).

Oh, and you posted that "The Hospital!" scan twice :o

Yes I have the two issues with them but had never posted them. All these were from previous Kamandi post from the old SD.
