Flippin' heck! What happened to him in the last panel! Also yay for Namor not looking like Robert Englund.

Just look at Norman's face in that panel; its like he just knows Namor is gonna give him a kick in the balls for that crack, and he's making the face preemptively.

Namor will kick Norman in the balls through the armor, which is far more impressive and painful.

Wow, not only does the person who wrote this not know the difference between affect and effect, but he uses them right and wrong in the SAME SENTENCE!

I KNOW. IT WAS DRIVING ME INSANE.

Affect was correct; I don't know WHY they second-guessed themselves.

Or maybe Victor meant what he said, and it's in some mystical sense INCREDIBLY WISE:

What he's saying is that if something does anything to any one of them, it is somehow responsible for bringing every one of them into existence in the first place.

I'm telling you, this stuff is deep.

I bet you could randomly ask 20 English speakers and 19 would get it wrong. I review lawyer-written documents that have it wrong daily!

What gets me is using it both ways in the same sense in the same sentence.

It's that middle school strategy: when you don't know how a word is spelled, you figure you'll just spell it one way half the time and another way the other half, figuring that at least you'll be right half the time.

Google Earth? Really?

Also, this encapsulates exactly why Dark Reign is ridiculous. The only person Goblin was ever really a threat to was Spidey, and that's because Norman knew who he was. Now that that's gone, Osborn isn't a threat to anybody.

Yeah, that made me facepalm a bit. That doesn't even make any sense. How does a space satellite give you ground-level footage?

Maybe they meant Google Maps Street View, but then I'm left with this hilarious image of the Google van rolling by Melrose when Atlanteans attack.

I wonder if the people there'll try to get Google Maps banned because the photos "aren't accurate" for their neighborhood.

Way to go, Normie. Piss off the guy who commands an army far more technologically advanced than anything H.A.M.M.E.R. (or the entire surface world, save maybe Latveria and Wakanda) has to offer. And more importantly, the guy who can flick off your head with his pinky.

The Sentry/Void is my guess for "The Thing Behind the Door". And no matter what his powers, bet Doom could take him down quickly, and probably absorb his power to boot...(after all,he's done it to the Surfer...)

Wait.

Um.

Hmmm.

Doom with Sentry-powers.

What would you call that? Darker Reign? Brighter Reign? Could Doom be cooperating with Osborun just so he can...

One can hope.

[info]jlroberson

Keeping score? That's both Reed Richards AND Namor Norman has managed to simultaneously make mortal enemies of. And then Doom would love to see Norman fall anyway, and he and Namor are planning to burn him.

Pity the man who gets these three men agreeing on something.

MY question is, given all this happening at the same time, rather than handing his ass to him, are they going to pass it back and forth between them instead?

Norman, Norman. You may be very smart and durable. But you're still a soft human bug in a metal shell. And you're new to it, too.

Norman is on some sort of deathwish, certainly. All the people he has managed to piss off are of power levels that not even his armored self can handle.
