re: the photo hosting.

I don't see why not, assuming LJ themselves allow hosting on sites other than LJ (which they'd prevent via anti-hotlinking code probably, so I'd assume you'd know right away).

After all, scans have to be hosted somewhere, so why should IJ or the mods here care any more about whether the pics are hosted on your LJ scrapbook than if on imageshack.
