Scrolling down that last cover too fast, for a split second I thought I saw a green-handed goatse...

Knowing Millar, he probably did it on purpose. It's all he's got left.

Oh, great.

Now two people who should have stayed dead are coming back.

I mean, sure, Steve coming back was a given, if a disappointing one, but Gert? After Vaghun spent several story arcs asserting that there is NO magical reset button, and that dead really means dead? Come on!

While I don't agree on Steve, on Gert... remember, Covers Lie.

From Christina Strain: "She's back. I'll just say it. It's not all cut and dry, but screw it, have faith, she's back, and not just for a few seconds."

My guess is that it's an AU Gert. But still. GERT.

I'm all for conflict and intrigue with Osborn, but I swear to God if they bust up Scott and Emma and bring back JEEEAANNNNN I will quit reading.

What if they bust up Scott/Emma, bring back Jean, but then go the Jean/Logan route?

Even better: bust up Scott/Emma, bring back Jean, then go the Jean/Emma route.

Scott and Logan can deal :P

Potentially sexy, but not even remotely likely -- Jean loathes Emma, while Emma would never allow herself to be the lesser partner in a relationship.

Scott/Logan is more probable.

Glad to see Millar is mindful of the cyclical nature of comics - what better way for The Last Wolverine Story to end, than to have him beating the shot out of the guy he was fighting in The First Wolverine Story?

Also - I'm actually more excited for the return of Gert than that of Steve Rogers. It's a confession I freely submit.

That'd be pretty neat, I think, and it'd fit with her parents' schtick as time/space-travelers, wouldn't it? Maybe she got somethign cool that lets her travel through time.

It looks a lot like AU future Heroine Gert. The one who came back in time and warned everybody about Victor.

I assume the Wolverine special will end with Logan finding out there's only one Hulk member left (after he kills them all). A baby who he takes it as his son who ends up being Banner Jr. in Fantastic Force.

I am so glad that that artist remembered to give Gert muffin top. And made it look CLASSY!

I am waiting on trades for Old Man Logan, but am saddened by that cover. Wolvie is no fun without his winghair.
