One Perfect Moment OF DOOM.. and Iron Man too!
Because even though the week of Doom is over, I can't help myself. It's like an addiction that has now started. I MUST POST SOME DOCTOR DOOM! So here's one perfect moment OF DOOM. So suitable that it also turns out to be Tony's too.

I believe this is from the Infinity Gaunlet, don't know the issue, but I do know this was originally posted here so this scan isn't mine. But it fits so well.

I remember someone posted that during when Civil War came out and how much that meant to Tony during that too. LOL!

By I digress I can never satisfy myself with just one more perfect moment OF DOOM!

From Fantastic Four #537:

Again the eyes are just too damn calm just like a previous moment that was posted during WEEK OF DOOM. It's like business as usual for Vic. Still, at least they didn't focus on his eyes till the end. And it's one perfect moment OF DOOM.

See? That is why Dr. Doom is Marvel's ultimate villain.

Its not the fact he's one of the worlds greatest minds, his technology, his magic, the fact he rules his own country or has an army of robots that look like him, its the sheer ballsyness of the man, the sheer chutzpah that make him the standard by which all other villains are judged.

This is a man who admits to a room of heroes that "Yes, if I get the chance I will steal the artifact of ultimate power for myself. What are you going to do about it?". This is a guy who escapes from hell itself and his first thought is "Damn, I need a bath to wash this demon funk off me."

I mean look at his eyes in that last panel; the sheer CALMNESS of them. the "how did I get out" panel seems more of curiosity than uncertainty.

Millar (Or bendis, forget which one is writing the current arc) can eat a dick, no matter what lame villain he creates to one up the master, it aint never gonna work, because Marvel already has its top villain, and he spells his name with a D.

I remember reading an old crossover book - back in the day when Marvel and DC would do these little one shots where a hero from each company would act like they'd existed in the same world all along and have a team-up - where Superman visited Doom in his embassy for some reason.

When Superman asked Doom what he was doing, he said "Plotting world domination, like always."

Well, don't be too hasty there.

According to the reviews, the next issue is all about Doom kicking his former master's ass and ruling the world.

hopefully Doom is just using his "Master" to get more power or something

cause there is no way in HELL, that he would ever submit to someone willingly like that

It's also explained that Doom was bowing to his former masters as a sign of respect, not subservience.

Moral of the story: do NOT assume that Doom is dead until you have seen his dead body and hired a medium to affirm that, yes, his soul HAS entered the next world - and not necessarily then. And even IF then, never ever EVER badmouth Doom. Badmouth Galactus to his face before you'd badmouth Doom - at least with Galactus, you MIGHT get out of it alive.

Galactus would probably spare you're life considering he would think nothing of you but like a gnat.

Or he would blast you, but you could dodge out of the way - like Adam Warlock did in 'Infinity Gauntlet'. Galactus is not above swatting at gnats if they annoy him, but he generally gives up pretty quickly - he has other fish to fry. Doom, on the other hand, will not rest until he has tracked down the gnat and SQUASHED it! He probably spends entire days stalking, say, an annoying mosquito through Castle Doom until it is in the exact right position to be stomped upon by his metal boot.

I still think this is a pretty lame ending to the multiple arc-spanning story of the FF defeating Doom and taking over Latveria. It's like in Star Wars, if Darth Vader just popped up after Return of the Jedi and said "I'm evil again, and I've built another Death Star."
