One Perfect Moment: Thanos
Marvel's answer to Darkseid.

He's become omnipotent. He's destroyed half the universe. He's killed and destroyed entire galaxies and future galactic empires.
He rumbles with Odin, Galactus, Tyrant and others and we cheer the bad guy on.

For he is Thanos.

From Thanos Quest:

Having outwitted, out smarted and humbled the In-Betweener and the Elders of the Universe, there is one gem left to collect. The mind gem, from the Elder who plays games for his own amusement. The Grandmaster, who has been watching Thanos defeat everyone and has been planning ahead.

They fight some more, with clever battle suit tricks within a simple geometric obstacle course. The Grandmaster is as clever and merciless as Thanos in terms of combat. Thanos comes up with a trick.

It backfires on Thanos. Literally.

Darkseid has the mythic heft. But Thanos? He's got the personality.

And also? Whereas Darkseid is like if selfishness itself were made a god, Thanos is actually less vain. He does it all instead for what he considers a higher cause, even if a perverse one: Death, his one true love.

Which may be an example of the fundamental difference between the DC and Marvel character sensibilities. DC, it's Evil. Marvel, it's something threatening, yes, but slightly harder to define--more differing interests than good vs. evil.
