Bart AND Max's perfect moments.
Because those two rock. And should be reunited!

This is from Impulse #16. Hope it's readable. Basically, Max had just revealed to Helen she's his daughter, and as he's done in the past, is opting to run away and time travel now that things are too painful. Bart catches up.

Max and Bart are win. I fully support Bart's constant bitching of late about how Max should come back. Because Bart is so RIGHT.

And another, when Bart has to leave for the 30th century with his Mom...

Max SHOULD terrorize today's Teen Titans. They'd be much more entertaining.

That's right, people, DIE FROM THE CUTE!

Oh, Bart. And Max. That first moment up there really does a good job of showing him as human and flawed. And more like Impulse than he knows, I think. Simply running away from your problems isn't something you tend to put a whole lot of thought into, after all.

Bart's got a pretty classic reaction to leaving someone you love in the second scan. Shielding all the hurt with anger is pretty common, especially with kids and teens. It just seems easier to deal with. But then Max breaks through Bart's defenses. Awwwwww.

The good news is, in every panel Bart appears in in Rebirth he's complaining about Max not being back. He even actually said "I am upset Barry's back and not Max." HE SAID IT. Clearly, Bart is trying to break the fourth wall and annoy Geoff Johns into bringing us Max. Yay Bart!

In all seriousness, it appears to be really clumsy foreshadowing for Max coming back, which would make me estatic (it's quite easy, as Max isn't even dead, and all it would take to bring him back is to grab Rival and go "STFU WE WANT MAX!" And use science to zap Rival away and Max back in). I demand this happen!

	It was a long running (no pun intended) joke in the series, and every time he appeared anywhere else. EVERYONE commmented on the size of Impulse's feet. IIRC It was even the clue which led Robin to deduce that Impulse was Bart. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
