Perhaps so, but isn't that played out by now? Isn't it long since time she recovered and put the last vestiges of her refrigeration behind her? Every time I see her in that damned chair I think of the panels of her naked and bleeding on the floor like a fucking porn shoot. Which, given the Joker's snapshots of her, it kinda was. Can't we bury it, finally? It was a brutal, unnecessary, horrible scene that even the author regrets now. It's embarrassingly and insultingly misogynistic no matter what you might think of Ostrander's salvage job, and it's continually referenced every time Oracle and her chair make an appearance. Is that really a story we want enshrined in continuity permanence? Is that really an image we want in the list of things we must respect and keep relevant?
I'd prefer to see it on the trash heap of history, myself, an embarrassing moment from a less enlightened time we don't like to talk about anymore.
