A new take on an old classic by familiar friends.

And that most recent of Henson success (in my book), Farscape.

Who's yer daddy?

I don't get why Kermit's not wearing clothes. He wore in them in other historical stories...

He's a filthy frog pervert?

Ah, true. I always did think of Robin Hood as being a perv.

Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Hiding out in the woods.

Kinda says it all right there.

Cue the "Brokeback" music.

What do you mean? He's wearing his collar.

Yeah, but he wore this for Muppet Treasure Island. So he looks rather underclothed here.

That was to hide his chest tattoo.

He's wearing a hat, cloak and belt... okay, that just makes it sound kinkier.

I so like that they have someone ask "Wait a second, isn't your NEPHEW the one named Robin?" "Not for this story, okay?"

He's wearing green tights, it's just impossible to tell the difference.

I have no justification for the shirtlessness.

Perhaps because he, himself, is already Lincoln green, so clothing himself in it is superfluous?

I want to make a "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" joke, but its been so long since I last saw it that I can't think of anything.

I found myself irrationally hoping for a Cover Girl sequel under the cut.

But these are good too!

(Man, Cover Girl was a great mini.)

Nice. I need to catch up on my Farscape stuff.

Also, the spelling of D'argo's tag is wrong. It's Ka D'argo, no 'r'. Sorry, I know I'm being a bit picky, but D'argo is a fave charrie of mine. >

I would argue that the most RECENT Henson success would be 'Mirrormask', myself, but I suppose it's a matter of opinion. (I like what i've seen of Farscape, too, for the record, but Mirrormask is more recent.)

Mirrormask had some amazing pieces. I was not aware that it was the Henson line.

Yep - in fact, it was specifically created as a sort of spiritual sequel to 'Labyrinth' and 'The Dark Crystal'. The idea was, what they did with Muppetry, Mirrormask would do with computers - and while I can't say I like the idea of them replacing their trademark form like that, they DID do a pretty amazing job of it.
