A little something for the long weekend....
As it's a long weekend in the UK (well, chunks of it) and the US, I thought I'd repost an "activity post" from S_D 1.0
The results last time were... memorable to say the least, and I'm hoping for more here! :)
From the brighter, happier days of 1984 comes....
This worthy book was an attempt to discourage the usual pattern of children's colouring books, where they give you a picture and you haver to colour it in. This, it was felt, stifled creativity, and encouraged children to take things for granted. The example cited was how quickly children learn to draw birds in the sky as little V shapes rather than actual birds, when they see that's how other people draw them. The Anti-Colouring book ethos was to challenge the child to come up with their own ideas, based on a simple question or statement, and perhaps informed by the images included, the facial expressions or the locale.
Not as crack-tastic as the Super-Dictionary (what could be), or perhaps even the Super Powers Cook Book, but it does let to some interesting self examinations!
Now, bear in mind at all times that these were intended for an innocent, sweet natured, naive target audience of children, unsullied by smut or the like. I think it's safe to say that NO ONE on s_d qualifies under THOSE terms....
I'm known for my somewhat...overly verbose posts, but I think most of these are appreciated without much further input from me. That means that any innuendo, smut or outright indecency you bring to the table is entirely your own...
Now, have fun!
"Oh Lois... Oh Jimmy... Oh Lois... Oh Jimmy... " (Yup, Superman is watching Perry fantasise in his office) (Sorry, I said I'd keep these to a minimum didn't I)
I dunno, but Robin doesn't look happy about whatever it is...
"Don't worry, I'm the daughter of a multi-dimensional demon, there's nothing you can think of that could be worse than Trig...... Oh sweet lord in heaven NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Because all superheroines want to accessorise!
If you thought Raven seeing inside your head was bad enough, now we have some guy making it physically real for all to see!!
Oh yeah, "Pimp my Ride" Robin style! :)
The Batman and Robin ones are just so much fun! :)
Now if anyone feel like taking up the challenges presented and posting the results here that could be interesting, no? :)
Oh, and in case this needs a scan for legality, we have Superman giving Robin a piggy back ride for no remotely comprehensible reason!
