It's funny, but all the reasons for why this creates conflict (though Batman and Robin was never created to be particularly conflict-ridden) are reasons that make me say...do they think it's more interesting for a kid like this to be turned into Robin because of his DNA, or for a kid with this DNA to totally not be right for Robin or Batman (but perhaps a villain or at least some sort of antagonist)? Not that Damian's old enough to be one or the other yet, but GM seems to want to announce that in the future Bruce's bio-son will take over for him. It could be left open for him to be bad. (Not because his blood on his mother's side is bad, but because of the person he is and the values he has. His blood doesn't determine his potential either way.)
