August: Marvel's Family Reunion Month?
Three Marvel solicitations for August featuring family reunions.

Logan's kids meet up:

DARK AVENGERS #8
Written by MATT FRACTION
Pencils by LUKE ROSS
Cover by MIKE DEODATO
Variant Cover by SIMONE BIANCHI
70th Frame Variant by TBA

Norman's X-Men, as led by Emma and Namor, are the face of mutant law and order! The X-Men look played out of position as Osborn's dark reign falls over California-- but Scott Summers isn't done yet. The X-Men strike at Norman, at H.A.M.M.E.R., at his fraud X-Men and his sham Avengers all at once! This is the book where, at long last, the Marvel Universe starts to fight back-- and it sets the stage for next month's unbelievable conclusion in UNCANNY X-MEN/DARK AVENGERS - EXODUS!

Hulk's family get together in a new ongoing:

INCREDIBLE HULK #601
Written by GREG PAK & FRED VAN LENTE
Penciled by ARIEL OLIVETTI & MICHAEL RYAN
Cover by ARIEL OLIVETTI
Variant Cover by ED MCGUINNESS
70th Frame Variant by MICHAEL GOLDEN
Gamma fans rejoice—the rumors are true! The INCREDIBLE HULK book returns as an ongoing series written by acclaimed "Planet Hulk" and WORLD WAR HULK scribe Greg Pak! Get ready for Bruce Banner as you've never seen him, the Son of Hulk in a whole new world of smash, and an insane new adventure that changes everything for everyone's favorite Green Goliath! With art by Ariel Olivetti (CABLE) and introducing a new, regular bonus backup "Savage She-Hulk" story written by Fred Van Lente and drawn by Michael Ryan!
40 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

Okay this one isn't quite a family reunion, but Thor is technically Herc's uncle since his mother is Herc's great-grandmother.

INCREDIBLE HERCULES #132 & 133
Written by GREG PAK & FRED VAN LENTE
Penciled by REILLY BROWN (#132) & RODNEY BUCHEMI (#133)
Covers by RAFAEL ALBUQUERQUE
Incredible Hercules #132 70th Anniversary Variant by MARKO DJURDJEVIC
Incredible Hercules #133 70th Frame Variant by SALVA ESPIN
Beginning a storyarc so earth-shattering, so momentous, so, well, incredible, we just had to give it to you TWICE A MONTH! (Well, for the three months, anyway). When terrible threats rise in Svartalfheim, the land of the Dark Elves, only Mighty Thor, Son of Asgard, can hope to triumph! But what happens if the Odinson is temporarily...unavailable? It's Hammer Time for Hercules as the Lion of Olympus gets his thunder on! Meanwhile, in INCREDIBLE HERCULES #133, the Secret Origin of Amadeus Cho begins! Who really killed Amadeus' family? What is his true relation to Hercules? And, most importantly, what is the connection between him and The Twelve's Master Mind Excello? Everyone's favorite irascible boy genius is after the answers himself—but to get them he's going to have to go through his arch-nemesis, Pythagoras Dupree, the sixth-smartest man on Earth!
32 PGS.(each)/Rated T+ …$2.99 (each)

God I hope so. He should easily trounce Rulk. He has Hulk strength, Old Power and the Power Cosmic last I checked. If Rulk wins I'd be absolutely pissed.

The Power COsmic was only temprorary and he lost the Old Power. He may regain the Old Power though since the girl who got Hiroim's powers in Warbound is showing up in Planet Skaar.

I like Dark Reign but if they throw Emma under the bus, I swear to God.

there is no good reason for Emma to betray Cyke for Osborne. I might get this issue, but that's the only part of the series I'm touching.

Actually, Scott's creation of X-Force and keeping her out of the loop of important decisions would make the person your currently dating quite upset. (Lord knows I am experiencing this right now. )

So yeah, emma's gonna do her own thing for mutants everywhere, and she's going to f' it up.

Herc is keeping his own book right?

As for Emma I hope this a huge Cycke/Emma dodge to screw Norman. Come on, I actually like Scott's girlfriend for once.

You forget, Marvel is the company that broke up Peter and MJ because having them apart made for more interesting storytelling, supposedly. Conflict is better, if they're to be believed, and as such, what better than two people who sleep in the same bed being on opposite teams and having to fight each other.

That said, I think the big, fat joke in Norman's face at the end of Dark Reign is that everyone is going to turn on him, regardless of who's behind the door, and kick the everloving shit out of him. So, hopefully, Emma is just doing this to screw with Norm.

It's from the Jamie Hewlett comic strip 'Meet the Freebies'. The lovely pale girl imitating some phallic action is Whitey Action, the totally and utterly politically incorrect partner of the strip's lead Terry Phoo, who just happens to look a little like Bruce Lee.

In this, she's mocking one of Phoo's buddies as he speaks on the phone, who is trying to get an opinion on what shoes he should buy.

Pythagoras Dupree. BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

And the Savage She-Hulk backup stories? Still no Jen? I don't really care about Thundra and Hulk's spawn, to be honest. I want Jen back!

Wait, how the hell does the Incredible Hulk/Herc numbering work? I mean, Herc took over the Hulk title, but kept the numbering, but they're starting up the Hulk title with the original numbering, which would include the issues that Hulk was Herc? Huh? What? Arg, my brain!

I'm actually quite shocked that Marvel hasn't given Herc a new series, seeing that they love first issues so much...

which would include the issues that Hulk was Herc

No, it doesn't. It includes all the issues up until the title changed, then the numbers of Loeb's Hulk until the return of the IH title.

That's a Deodato cover? You can't even see X-23's boobs, and her ass isn't in any way inappropriately highlighted!
